UTMB Race Finder questions
How can I find a suitable UTMB-indexed race?
Start with distance and elevation gain, then narrow the list by location, season, race category, and historical DNF rate. Selecting a result opens its year-by-year participation and finish-time data.
What does the DNF rate mean?
DNF means “did not finish.” The displayed rate is the share of recorded participants who did not finish that edition. It can help compare difficulty, but weather, route changes, and entry requirements also affect it.
Which race categories can I search?
The finder includes 20K, 50K, 100K, and 100M UTMB categories, plus races without a category. Distances and elevation can also be filtered directly.
How current is the race data?
The current dataset contains historical editions through 2025. Use “Organized after 2024” to restrict results to races with a recorded 2025 edition.
